Words can travel thousands of miles.
May my words create mutual understanding and love.
May they be as beautiful as gems,
as lovely as flowers.
(Thich Nhat Hahn)
Dear friends,
Let’s spread a little kindness, like the sun brightening your day, and become beacons of light radiating out into the darkness. Be a beam of happiness that shines through the clouds, luminous, bright and kind. Sharing loving words, like a candle painting its soft glow into the night.
Through these gentle words, you can offer comfort, reassurance, and support. The simple act of writing a letter, a note or a few heartfelt lines, can be a beautiful expression of kindness that we share with ourselves and others. Taking the time to write our words down can transform our kind thoughts and good intentions into meaningful action.
“Writing and receiving letters to and from yourself could become an empowering self-care ritual.”
Breathe Magazine, Issue 48
Let’s remember to treat ourselves like a dear friend. Take a moment to pause, breathe slowly and deeply, then listen to the words your heart needs to hear today.
Begin by settling yourself in with a guided meditation and let your kindness pour out, writing gently and lovingly onto the page.
You can listen to my loving-kindness meditation in the post below:
Loving-kindness
“Radiate boundless love towards the entire world — above, below, and across — unhindered, without ill will, without enmity.” – Buddha (from the Karaniya Metta Sutta)
